We had a fantastic 5 hour walk on Tuesday – Alison planned a route that took in many different perspectives, we networked, talked about each others ideas, research and at times walked in silence to listen to the ambient sounds. We were an international group and participants included curators, artists researchers from a number of Universities and different fields including Geography, Fine Art, American and Canadian Studies, working in different disciplines painting, photography, animation and sound. There were a number of people who expressed an interest but couldn’t make it, which was a real shame but we hope that something further will develop from this event and will keep you posted! We will be writing a short report about the event and will post it on line in the next month. Meanwhile we would like to thank both Loughborough University and Nottingham Trent University for funding the trip and Alison Lloyd for inviting us, curating and guiding the walk!
